Another major upset has been caused at the McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s as the Brothers 7s came from behind to beat NZ 1 24-22 in the Plate semi final to book a Plate final showdown against the Devo Babas.

The Brothers 7s scored two tries in a space of 1 minute after being down 22-12 with 1 minute to play in the second half.

NZ 1 had themselves to blame with poor defence and lack of concentration in the dying stages of the game which the Brothers took advantage of and scored two tries to steal the win.

In the other plate semi final, Devo Babas defeated BLK Lavidi Brothers 17-7.

Meanwhile, the NZ Development will take on Mt Masada in the Women’s Cup final later this afternoon.

The NZ development defeated the Seahawks 31-7 in the first semi final and Mt Masada thumped Bilo Bar Aflame Sisters 33-0 in the second semi final.

The Women’s final will kick off at 4pm.

The Youth semi finals are underway and the Men’s semi finals will kick off at 12.30pm.

The Youth final will kick off at 4.30pm and the Men’s final will be at 5pm.
