In Fiji 60 to 90 cases of breast cancer is diagnosed each year.
This was revealed by Fiji Cancer Society President, Nirmala Nambiar during the launch of the Bra Art Competition.
Nambiar said there are some men who are victims of breast cancer and people should be aware that age, obesity and family history are all factors that contribute to the risk of developing the disease.
She added the Bra Art competition is geared towards creating more awareness as breast cancer is fast becoming a leading cause of deaths in Fiji and people should think about the issue seriously.
The committee is hopeful that there will be a large number of entries for this year's Bra Art Competition.
