The bodies of 7 people who perished in the horrific bus fire in Malaqereqere, Sigatoka on August 28th have finally been released for burial.
Police Spokeswoman, Ema Mua has confirmed that after analysing the forensic and DNA reports received from the Australia Federal Police, it was decided the bodies be released for burial.
The bodies have been at the morgue for almost seven weeks.
She said the family members were informed of the decision yesterday.
A total of 12 people died in the bus fire. Two who passed away at the CWM hospital a few days after the accident were buried however the ten who died at the scene were still kept at the CWM mortuary.
