The New Zealand Black Ferns 7s has been crowned the Women’s champions of the HSBC Hong Kong 7s after outclassing the USA Women 36-7 in the Cup Final tonight.

NZ dominated the first 5 minutes of the match scoring three tries through Jorja Miller and Michaela Blyde who scored two tries with Tyla King adding one conversion for a 17-0 lead.

The USA bounced back at the stroke of halftime to score a converted try through Alex Sedrick despite being one player short after Steph Rovetti was yellow-carded for tackling a player in the air.

NZ led 17-7 at the break.

Blyde scored her third try in the 9th minute with the conversion unsuccessful to extend their lead to 22-7.
