There is a bigger opportunity for the kava industry in the US than in Australia because the US has a bigger kava market.
ANZ Fiji Country Head Rabih Yazbek stated this while answering the question as to how Fiji can diversify its economy.
Yazbek says he is sure that Fiji can send differentiated kava products to the US.
He adds Fiji should diversify into areas where we have a natural competitive advantage such as the fishing and agriculture industry and the Business Process Outsourcing sector.
Yazbek also says another competitive advantage Fiji has is its people.
