Big screens setup in Auckland for Flying Fijians

Big screens have been set up in an Auckland suburb as part of New Zealand’s “adopt a nation” for the Rugby World Cup for the Flying Fijians.

Fijivillage has received confirmation that Ellerslie Town which is 10 kilometers from central Auckland, is the host town for Fiji and the town has thrown their support behind our national team.

The big screens are set up in the town square for members of the public to come and cheer for their adopted country.

Meanwhile, from 9 until 10 this morning, the Police Band performed as part of a series of concerts in the town.

This is a RWC drive by the Fiji Police force and Tourism Fiji in taking the “Bula Spirit” to New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the Suva City Council is also organising a viewing in the park for Suva residents in an effort to get people to support the Flying Fijians.

Special administrator Chandu Umaria said that they have yet to decide on the venue but the plan has been approved.

The Flying Fijians will take on Samoa this Sunday at 2.30pm.
