Baby admitted in hospital
A six-month-old baby is admitted in hospital after he was hurt while being looked after by a relative in Nasinu.

Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the mother left the baby in the care of one of the relatives while she was attending to other chores.

When she returned, the baby had bruises on his body.

Sokomuri said it is alleged that a teenager was playing with the baby which resulted in the injuries.

People are urged to look after their children and not to leave them in the care of people who may not know how to handle babies or infants.
