BSP now stands as the largest South Pacific bank in Fiji and in the region and in terms of institutional investment, it will probably be the second largest institutional investor in Fiji.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica highlighted this while opening the new BSP branch at Grace Road True Mart Complex in Nadi.

Kamikamica says he appreciates BSP and its strategic leadership and commitment to the branch opening as they, over the years have immensely contributed to the Fijian economy.

The Deputy Prime Minister says they will continue to work with BSP to see what opportunities they can unlock together as they employ almost a thousand people.

He further says BSP is a major corporate employer in Fiji, which is vital to both the local and regional economies while the investment demonstrates its belief in Fiji's potential and commitment to the stability and growth of the Fijian economy.

Kamikamica adds the Fijian economy is at the top of the Fiji Government's agenda as they have a pipeline of investments of around $6 billion and out of that, about $2 billion will be deployed towards the end of the year.
