Garment products from Fiji took center stage at an exhibition in Australia last month which has tempted investors from Melbourne to contemplate setting up business in Fiji.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Textile, Clothing and Footwear Council President Kalpesh Solanki revealed that there is growing interest from Australia to invest in the garment industry in Fiji.
Solanki also revealed that at the exhibit in Melbourne, Australian importers also showed high interest to buy garments made in Fiji for the Australian market.
Through a number of initiatives, the garment industry in Fiji is now on a comeback trail with exports expected to total around $95 million this year.
