At least forty children are diagnosed with cancer every year.

This was confirmed by the Fiji Cancer Society President Nirmala Nambiar during a Walk on Walk strong press conference.

Nambiar said that just from January to date there have been ten new cases recorded, but these are just the ones that are reported to the Ministry of Health.

She added that Leukemia is still the leading cancer for kids.
