The Army football team is preparing strongly for the Sukuna Bowl, aiming to reclaim the title after a seven-year losing streak to the Police side.

Team Captain Epeli Saukuru says the squad is training hard, and team morale is high.

Saukuru confirms that the team will feature notable players such as Kolinio Sivoki and his brother Peniame Drova, both representing Navua, along with Wallace Bali from Nadroga.

He adds that, as part of their preparations, the team will play several friendly matches to fine-tune their performance ahead of the clash with the Police team.

The Army team is set to play a friendly match against the Fiji U-17 team tomorrow at 3pm at the FA Academy grounds in Vatuwaqa.

The Sukuna Bowl football competition begins next Thursday at Subrail Park.
