As teams get ready for the HSBC Perth 7s that kick off tomorrow, Argentina captain Santiago Alvarez says they are enjoying their journey so far and are trying not to feel the pressure of being on top of the table.

Alvarez says they are content with their performance in the first two tournaments of the 2023/2024 HSBC SVNS World Series in Dubai and Cape Town but the season is very long, and they still have some things to correct.

He says this year is more competitive than ever and every team is very tough.

He adds they must stay focused and keep doing what they have been doing.

Argentina currently leads the overall Men’s points table with 38 points followed by South Africa and Fiji who sit in 2nd and 3rd places respectively with 30 points each.

Argentina are in pool A alongside South Africa, Canada and Spain.

The Perth 7s will be held from tomorrow to Sunday.
