Getting the call to join the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s team in 2022 was a blessing and I never regretted my decision to accept the offer.

This was highlighted by Fijian Drua women's centre, Vani Va’aga Arei as she looks forward to defending the 2024 Super Women's title this season.

Arei says she is excited about this year’s competition as more new players are making their debut for the team.

The 25-year-old hails from Tovu Village in Lau and has maternal links to Nukubalavu in Savusavu.

She attended Saint Andrews Primary School in Savusavu and then went to Saint Bede's College for her secondary education. Arei was part of the Melbourne Rebels women’s side in 2020 and later joined the Queensland Reds women’s extended squad before being called up to join the Drua women’s team in 2022.

The Drua Women’s will meet the Waratahs at 3.35pm tomorrow, while the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will play the Waratahs at 1.05pm tomorrow at Churchill Park in Lautoka. I
