Areas in Rakiraki that were recently closed to traffic due to flooding are now open, as floodwaters have receded, except for the Raiwasa Bridge and Raiwasa Mead Road, which were both damaged by the flood and remain closed to traffic.

This has been confirmed to fijivillage News by Rakiraki Police tonight as adverse weather continues to affect the Western Division.

They say their on-the-ground team continues with their patrol as they continue to monitor the weather and movements in the Rakiraki areas.

The Rakiraki Police say movement restrictions in Rakiraki Town are still in place.

Movement restrictions for Tavua and Ba Towns for tonight are still in place as well.
