Architect to provide recommendations
One of the architects of the constitution is expected to provide recommendations to the interim government soon on the proposed National Council for Building a Better Fiji and the People's Charter.

The Former Chairman of the Constitution Review Commission, Sir Paul Reeves arrived in the country last week upon an invitation from Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama.

Bainimarama met with Sir Paul Reeves last Wednesday. He also met with the Ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, other political parties, Co-Chair of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji, Archbishop Petero Mataca, the diplomatic corp, the Fiji Law Society and members of the civil society.

Reeves is the former Archbishop and Governor General of New Zealand. He was also the former Anglican Consultative Council to the UN in New York, Assistant Bishop of New York and the Deputy Leader of the Commonwealth Observer group to South Africa.

Meanwhile Bainimarama said the National Council for Building a Better Fiji is expected to meet mid next month and the council will announce the dates on when people can make submissions on what should be included in the People's Charter.
