A 39-year-old suspect who allegedly attacked a 2-year-old boy and a 74-year-old woman on Friday afternoon in Nadi is still admitted in hospital.
The attack claimed the life of the two-year-old boy.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they are now waiting for the 74 year old victim and the suspect to recover.
Naisoro confirmed that the suspect, the 2 year old and the 74 year old are related.
The motive of the attack is yet to be determined.
