All Blacks 7s head to HK 7s without skipper Sam Dickson

The All Blacks 7s has named an exciting travelling squad to the Hong Kong 7s with the exclusion of captain Sam Dickson after sustaining a calf injury during training.

The side will also be missing several key players like Andrew Knewstubb, Tim Mikkelson, youngster Roderick Solo, Scott Curry, Payton Spencer and Tone Ng Shiu, Joe Webber, and Regan Ware due to injuries and personal reasons.

The NZ 7s side to Hong Kong includes Leroy Carter, Dylan Collier, Tepaea Cook-Savage, Rhodes Featherstone, Fehi Fineanganofo, Moses Leo, Sione Molia, Amanaki Nicole, Lewis Ormond, Ngarohi Mcgarvey-Black, Akuila Rokolisoa, Brady Rush and Xavier Tito-Harris.

They are in pool D alongside Ireland, Kenya, and South Africa, and they could face the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team in the cup quarter finals.

They will take on Kenya at 6.40pm Friday in their first game, they will then take on South Africa at 3.04pm Saturday before playing Ireland at 7.49pm Saturday in their final pool match.

Meanwhile, Fiji will play Samoa in their first pool match at 7.28pm Friday, they will then play Canada at 3.52pm Saturday before playing Argentina at 8.37pm on Saturday in their final pool match.

The cup quarter finals will begin at 2.02pm Sunday, the cup semi finals will be at 7.29pm Sunday, and the cup final will kick-off at 12.15am Monday.
