After facing complications from a previous hernia surgery, 54-year-old Mosese Naivolasiga found renewed trust, comfort, and expert care at PSH Hospitals under the guidance of general Surgeon Dr Akhtar Ali and his Medical team at PSH Hospitals.

For 54-year-old Mosese Naivolasiga, what began as a routine surgery in 2017 eventually turned into a long and uncertain health journey. His first hernia operation, which was meant to correct a painful condition, later became defective. Over time, it led to a second hernia developing near the site of the original procedure.

“The second hernia appeared about 12 months ago,” Mosese recalled.

“It was confirmed after a CT scan which was conducted at a Hospital in Suva. The confirmation brought mixed emotions and relief in knowing what was wrong, but worried about undergoing another surgery,’’ he said.

Determined to find the right care, Mosese sought advice from Dr Akhtar Ali, a general surgeon at PSH Hospital in Nadi. From their first consultation, he felt reassured.

“Dr Ali was confident that he could perform the procedure,” Mosese said.

“But what truly stood out was how informative and reassuring he was. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel at ease and confident moving forward,’’ he said, smilingly.

That trust carried through every step of his treatment. From pre-surgery preparation to post-surgery care, Mosese described his experience at PSH Hospitals as excellent.

“Credit to Mr Parvish Kumar for taking a bold step in establishing this wonderful health facility in Nadi,” he said.

“Most importantly, he has assembled a great team of dedicated and competent medical professionals and support staff who provided one of the most reassuring and encouraging medical experiences I’ve ever had,’’ said Mosese.

His surgery was successfully carried out by Dr Akhtar Ali and his skilled medical team, with Dr Ratu Vereniki Raiwalui, Specialist Intensivist and Anaesthesiologist at PSH Hospitals in Nadi. The operation went smoothly and was completed on time without complications.

But what impressed Mosese the most was not just the medical expertise, it was the compassionate care he received afterward.

“The post-treatment care was even better,” he shared with a smile. “The staff were attentive, caring, and always ready to assist. Our sincere gratitude and appreciation go to the entire PSH team for the great service you provide.”

Reflecting on his experience, Mosese expressed deep appreciation for the level of professionalism, care, and personal attention he received throughout his treatment. He believes PSH Hospital is setting a new benchmark for healthcare in Fiji.

“I’m sure PSH Hospitals facilities and services will only get better with time and become Fiji’s premier private healthcare provider in the future,” he said. “Keep up the great work you do. God bless.”

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PSH hospitals, Parvish Kumar expressed his heartfelt gratitude and pride in his team:

“At PSH Hospitals, our mission has always been to deliver exceptional healthcare with compassion and integrity. Every patient who walks through our doors is treated with the highest level of respect and care. Hearing about Naivolasiga’s positive experience reminds us why we do what we do to make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives. We are deeply grateful for his trust and proud of our medical team for upholding the values PSH stands for.”

As Mosese continues his recovery, his story serves as an inspiring reminder of resilience, trust, and the power of compassionate care. For him and his family, PSH Hospitals has been more than just a medical facility; it has been a place of hope and healing.

As Fiji continues to strengthen its healthcare capabilities, PSH Hospitals remains a trusted leader in surgical excellence.
