Acceptance is the motivation behind 32 year old Luke Nayasa who is HIV and AIDS positive to come forward and help in the fight against AIDS.
The father of two who has been living with AIDS for the past ten years said that coming forward and breaking his silence on the disease has been a big relief for him and his second wife.
Nayasa who is yet to find out how he got AIDS said that he has gone through a lot in life where he lost his first wife and child.
He added that his life made a change for the better when he met his second wife, Lora who accepted his status despite the opposition from her family.
World AIDS Day was commemorated yesterday, where it was revealed that Fiji records an average of thirty cases of HIV infections each year with at least five people dying due to AIDS related complications.
It has also been revealed that Fiji has a total of 354 reported cases of HIV with about half or less than half of that number alive today.
