This holiday season has been a little more special for about 85 children as they received toys from Make a Difference – Fiji while the foundation has more toys to give away.

Founder Renu Snowsill says they received more than 100 toys as their donors were incredibly generous this year.

She says they received many requests from parents to brighten up their kids’ Christmas.

Snowsill says they still have some toys, food and juice to distribute because they ran out of time but hope to give them away before the new year.

She further says they want to assist about 200 students when they go back to school next year and already have a big box of books and stationery as they have been preparing for about 3 months.

Snowsill says as the government will be assisting needy families with $200 assistance, they will be surveying children who do not receive this assistance and will be providing them with the required stationery for the school year.

She says they want to assist families not just in Navua where they are based but those in other parts of Fiji too as they have received requests from Beqa and other parts of the country.

Snowsill says they are also assisting families who have lost their everything in a fire and says you can contact the foundation if you want to assist these families.

If you want to make this festive season a little better for someone or need assistance, you can message Make a Difference – Fiji on their Facebook page or call them on 9912379 or 8028442.
