Minister for Health Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete says groups moving around the country claiming to have the ability to remove the COVID-19 vaccine from people’s bodies are lying.

Dr Waqainabete highlighted this after opening the $100,702 refurbished Nursing Station in Waivaka, Namosi yesterday.

The Health Minister says Fijians do not have to fall victim to rumourmongers spreading lies about the vaccination in the country.

He says once people are vaccinated, the vaccine is transported through their blood veins to reach other parts of their body.

Meanwhile, also officiating at the opening ceremony was the Tui Namosi Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, who called for his people to be independent and stop relying a lot on Government assistance but to use their resources wisely to develop their communities.

The Tui Namosi says Fijians need to be mindful that the budget was meant for all Fijians and their development.
