Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was proud of his heritage, a staunch defender of democracy and was a gentle giant in global diplomacy.

This has been highlighted by SODELPA Leader, Viliame Gavoka following the death of Abe this morning.

He says they stand with Abe’s family and the Japanese people in mourning his loss.

Abe passed away this morning after being shot at twice during a campaign rally yesterday afternoon.
