88.2% of the adult target population now fully vaccinated while 19,335 students have received both doses

88.2% of the adult target population in Fiji is now fully vaccinated.

The latest update by the Permanent Secretary for Health Doctor James Fong says 96.7% of the adult target population have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

This means 597,761 people have received one dose and 545,009 people have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Doctor Fong also confirms that 19,335 children are fully vaccinated.

32,395 children have received one dose of the Moderna vaccine.

Doctor Fong says in the past 7 days, 64 cases were recorded in the central division, 48 new cases in the western division, 2 new cases in the eastern division and 33 new cases in the northern division.

The central division cases constitute 71% of the cumulative total cases nationally, with the western division making up 28% and 1% in the northern and eastern divisions.
