41-yr-old man remanded over alleged meth possession and proceeds of crime
A 41-year-old man has been remanded in custody by the Nasinu Magistrates Court after being charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs and possession of proceeds of crime.

Police say the accused was stopped by officers from the Southern Division who were conducting a mobile patrol along Omkar Road in Narere last Wednesday.

A search of the man's vehicle allegedly led to the discovery of zip-lock plastic containing a white substance, later confirmed to be methamphetamine, along with thousands of dollars in cash believed to be proceeds of criminal activity.

The matter has been adjourned to the 2nd of July.
