It is a historic day for the people of the Northern division as years of going through the muddy and gravel Nabouwalu to Dreketi road are now over.
The 70km, $228million Nabouwalu‑Dreketi Road Upgrading project has been successfully completed by China Railway First Group (Fiji) Company Limited and the road will be officially opened by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in the next hour.
The opening ceremony will be held in Dreketi and a number of people from Dreketi to Nabouwalu and beyond Nabouwalu on the coastal road are expected to attend the opening ceremony.
