215 nurse interns inducted into the services of the Health Ministry

215 nurse interns have been inducted into the services of the Health Ministry today.

Speaking at the induction ceremony, the Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong told the nurses that strangers will time and again, come into their lives with the expectation that nurses will care for them as if they are the only person that matters in their lives, however, they are expected to manage that level of expectation professionally first and in time with maturity.

He says the induction today will prepare the interns for a pathway of service, where they will be expected to serve while at the same time working within the parameters of the profession and the employment arena they are now in.

The Permanent Secretary challenged the interns not to rest on their laurels but to continue to strive towards even loftier goals.
