Two former police officers charged with unlawful supply of illicit drugs in June last year have been discharged by Magistrate Sufia Hamza in the last hour.
Amani Bosenawai and Inia Mekemeke have been discharged due to insufficient evidence.
Speaking outside the courthouse, Mekemeke said his family is happy after waiting for the court decision for more than a year.
Mekemeke and Bosenawai said they will now try to reapply to join the Fiji Police Force.
