15 students received scholarships today under the FNU Students Association Scholarship Award initiative.

$30,000 worth of scholarships were handed over today.

FNU Students Association President Ketan Lal says both undergraduate and postgraduate students got scholarships.

Lal adds there was a criteria for the scholarship application and they widely advertised on student platforms that the scholarships were available.

He says through this scholarship, the deserving students are given cash directly and they can pay for their rent, tuition, books or other educational expenses.

The scholarship is funded through the FNU Students Association membership levy which is $20 per year.

Last year, five students were assisted through the FNU Students Association Scholarship Award initiative.
