15 new jobs were created this morning after the opening of the Buy N Save FoodMart in Nadi.

Minister of Commerce and Trade, Faiyaz Koya highlighted that with the investment of $200,000, its a source of employment for Fijians within the Yako community and creates the much-required impetus in Nadi.

Koya says over the past few months, several businesses opening around Fiji indicate investor confidence as our economy makes a comeback.

He says when Fijians like Ameez Ali invest in our country, it sends out a positive sign to foreign investors that there is confidence to invest in Fiji.

He adds we cannot forget the indirect benefits the new establishment has on the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that are supporting and supplying food and essential items to Ameez’s business.

The Minister for Commerce and Trade says these are supporting industries where job creators create ripple benefits to the Fijian economy such as creating more opportunities to support livelihoods.
