Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew says it is sad to note that 100 percent of police deaths are linked to Non-Communicable Diseases.

While launching the Pinktober Month, Chew pleaded to officers not to wait for a specific time to talk or improve their health.

He says everyone should continue prioritising their health because signing up for this job has meant putting others before themselves, but it would not be helpful if they are unwell.

The Acting Police Commissioner says externally, they may look fit and healthy however internally it can be different for some.

He adds that Pinktober allows us to learn from the brave survivors and families who share their experiences.

During the launch, the staff at the Fiji Police Headquarters also collected funds that will go towards the eradication of cancer
