To win tournaments, it is important to back up good games after good games and we can’t afford to have any blips.

This was stated by Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s head coach Ben Gollings as they prepare for the opening of the 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS Series that will kick off in Dubai next Saturday.

Gollings says consistency is an important part of the 7s game and they want to develop that now throughout the season before the Paris Olympics next year.

He says the new rules that have been implemented in the 7s game will be a really good challenge for them and it will keep them motivated and more focused.

Fiji is pooled alongside the USA, France and Great Britain at the Dubai 7s. Fiji will take on the USA at 6.06pm next Saturday, they will then play France at 9.52pm before playing Great Britain at 4am Sunday in their final pool match. The cup quarter finals will begin at 6.58pm Sunday, the cup semi finals will kick off at 10.04pm Sunday and the final will be at 3.53am Monday.
