The big focus is to be able to play a full 80 minutes of rugby – Ikanivere

Winning away games will be one of the focus for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for the next Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season and according to captain Tevita Ikanivere, the big focus is to be able to play a full 80 minutes of rugby from the start to the finish.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Ikanivere says preparations have been going very well, and he is shocked as to the fitness and physique of the players that have been training with the Drua for the past weeks.

He says as for the players that were part of the Flying Fijians squad for the November tour, they will have to work hard to get to the standard of other players.

He adds they have a new coaching team, and it's great learning from them.

While sending his best wishes to everyone during this Christmas, Ikanivere urges families to celebrate responsibly and not drink and drive.

The Fijian Drua’s opening match next season will be at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva where they will host the Brumbies at 3.35pm on the 15th of February, 2025.
