South Africa and New Zealand have climbed up the world rankings after their wins in the 2023 Rugby World Cup quarter final games on Sunday and yesterday against Ireland and France respectively, while the Fiji Water Flying Fijians remain in 10th place.

In the latest updated World Rugby rankings, South Africa is the new number 1 team in the world with New Zealand moving into second place.

Former world number 1, Ireland has moved down to 3rd place with France slipping further down to 4th place.

In other changes in the world rankings, England has moved up to 5th place pushing Scotland down to 6th place, with Argentina climbing up to 7th place exchanging with Wales who has dropped to 8th place while the Wallabies remain in 9th place.

The RWC semi finals will kick off this weekend with Argentina playing the All Blacks at 7am Saturday and England will take on South Africa at 7am Sunday.
