The strength of Fiji lies in the unity of its people across generations, backgrounds, and faiths.

While speaking at the Fiji Day celebration in Geelong, Melbourne, the Minister for Employment, Agni Deo Singh has called on young Fijians to rise to the challenge of leadership and innovation to help build a brighter and more prosperous Fiji.

He encouraged the younger generation to carry forward the legacy of the nation’s elders, whose tireless efforts laid the foundation for Fiji’s unity and progress.

Singh says that young people inherit a story of courage and hope written by those who came before them, and urged them to carry that story forward with boldness.

He encouraged young people to dream big, serve faithfully, and let their generation be the bridge that connects Fiji’s past to its future.

The Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to Fiji’s elders, acknowledging their dedication, wisdom, and the sacrifices that helped shape the nation.

He also reaffirmed the Fiji Government’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with Fijians living abroad, noting their valuable contributions to the country’s growth through remittances, community leadership, and continued faith in their homeland.

Hundreds of Fijians, community leaders, and friends of Fiji gathered in Geelong to celebrate Fiji Day, highlighting the vibrant spirit of the nation’s culture, unity, and collective hope for the future.
