Communications Fiji Limited long time Director Pramesh Sharma

South Pacific’s largest broadcasting organisation and parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and fijivillage, Communications Fiji Limited has announced the resignation of long time Director, Pramesh Sharma.

CFL Chairman William Parkinson says the board is accepting Sharma’s resignation with regret noting this is due to his inability to meet the residency requirements specified in the Media Industry Development Act 2010.

Parkinson says over the last 12 years Pramesh Sharma has contributed significantly to the growth of the company specifically in the areas of governance and risk management.

He says Sharma will continue to serve on the board of CFL’s subsidiary PNGFM LTD, where his background in property development is of great value as we work on the construction of our new studio complex in Port Moresby.

Sharma will be replaced on the board by Emily King who currently holds the position of Group Company Secretary and General Manager Legal and Compliance for BSP Life.

Parkinson says they are delighted to welcome King to the board as she will bring to their discussions extensive legal and risk management experience.

The Communications Fiji Limited board also comprises Sufi Dean, Maciu Lumelume, Thelma Savua and Josephine Yee Joy.
