Rasaku returns for Fiji 7s as Gollings names squad for Oceania 7s in Australia

Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s coach Ben Gollings has named his squad for the upcoming Oceania Rugby 7s Championship in Australia next week with the return of 7s Rugby World Cup winner Kaminieli Rasaku.

Rasaku was plying his trade in France before he was released early by his club before his contract ended due to personal reasons.

The side has a mixture of experienced and new players as coach Gollings looks to test out his combinations before the start of the 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS festival.

The team for the Oceania 7s:

Joseva Talacolo, Jeremaia Matana, Josese Batirerega, Josua Vakurunabili, Manueli Maisamoa, Terio Veilawa, Pilipo Bukayaro, Waisea Nacuqu, Waisea Lawebuka, Iowane Teba, Vuiviwa Naduvalo, Kaminieli Rasaku, Ilikimi Vunaki, Rubeni Kabu and Netava Koroisau.

The Oceania 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday at Ballymore Stadium in Brisbane.
