The Fiji Airways Men’s Nationals 7s squad members have been reminded that no one is guaranteed a spot in the squad as they prepare for the 2024/2025 HSBC SVNS World Series that kicks off in November.

While speaking to fijivillage News, coach Osea Kolinisau says he has made a stern statement to the members of the extended squad that everyone has to fight for their spot in the team.

Konisau says he told the players that regardless of how long they have been in the team, or even if they were part of the squad at the recent Paris Olympics, they will still need to work hard for their spot in the team for the upcoming season.

Kolinisau says there are new players in the squad who have been impressive so far.

He has also confirmed that members of the extended squad are training in different centres around Fiji and will assemble for their first training camp in three weeks' time.

The first leg of the new 7s series will kick off in Dubai from the 30th of November to the 1st of December.
