Fiji-born Wallabies outside back Samu Kerevi

Fiji-born Wallabies outside back Samu Kerevi has rated the All Blacks midfield combinations of Jodie Barrett and Rieko Ioane as one of the best combinations ever.

With the first round of Bledisloe Cup 2023 coming up this weekend, Kerevi says he is looking forward to coming against this combination if he is named in the match-day squad.

Kerevi says the Barrett-Ioane combination is working really well for the All Blacks even though it’s only been a couple of tests now, but they’re definitely up there with the best combinations that he has ever played against.

The elusive centre is expected to fill in the second five-eighth position after Len Ikitau’s injury last two weeks but Kerevi says he is still trying to find his groove again and that rhythm for himself, and where he fits in terms of the team and where he can be his best.

The Wallabies will host the All Blacks at 9.45pm Saturday in Melbourne.

Meanwhile, South Africa will play Argentina at 3.05am Sunday.
