Fiji Men’s and Women’s 7s teams turn up the heat in Perth

The Fiji Airways Men’s and Women’s National 7s teams have turned up the heat in Perth ahead of this week’s third tournament of the 2023/2024 HSBC SVNS World Series.

Both the teams are fully focused on the task ahead of them with the Perth 7s set to kick off tomorrow.

Both coaches, Ben Gollings and Saiasi Fuli know it won’t be easy as all teams will be having an eye on both teams, and they expect their players to be performing above expectations.

The Fiji Men’s side is currently sitting in third place with 30 points on the overall points table, while Argentina currently leads with 38 points ahead of South Africa who are second with 30 points as well.

The Fijiana 7s side is in fourth place in the women’s points table with 24 points.

Australia leads with 40 points while France and New Zealand sit in second and third place respectively with 34 points each.

The Fiji Men’s 7s side will take on Samoa at 6.38pm tomorrow in their first pool match and play France at 11.31pm tomorrow.

They will then take on New Zealand at 5.25pm on Saturday in their final pool match. The Men’s cup quarter finals will start at 10.10pm Saturday, the cup semi finals will kick off at 5.10pm Sunday and the cup final will start at 9.53pm Sunday.

The Fijiana 7s' first match is against Brazil at 4pm tomorrow, they will take on Spain at 8.47pm tomorrow in their second pool match and then play France at 2.22pm Saturday in their final pool match. The quarter finals will start at 7.26pm Saturday, the semi finals will kick off at 4.22pm Sunday, and the final will be held at 9.13pm Sunday.
