Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne has labelled the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s signing of Flying Fijians lock Temo Mayanavanua for next season’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific as significant and has congratulated the Drua for it.

Byrne says Mayanavanua will be another senior voice in a young forwards pack in the Drua.

He says the 27-year-old will be a real benefit to the senior players in the Drua, and he will lighten the load that they have to carry as well.

Mayanavanua has signed a two-year deal with the Drua and will join the squad from Northampton Saints at the end of the 2025 Gallagher Premiership season.

Meanwhile, the Drua will be hosting the Western Force this Saturday at 3.35pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka, in their last home game of the season.
