The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua have a huge challenge ahead of them this weekend when they take on the Brumbies in Canberra as they will fight to keep their spot in the top 8 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific points table.

After their hard-fought 24-17 win over Moana Pasifika in Lautoka on Saturday, the Drua maintained their spot in 7th place with 17 points, but the Highlanders are closing up on them with 15 points and sitting on 8th place after beating the Western Force 7-6 over the weekend.

The Drua are also yet to secure an away game victory since 2022 and have won 4 games so far this season, all on home soil.

With the match-up against the Brumbies this weekend, the Drua will need to step up on the areas they lacked last weekend against Moana Pasifika which let them back into the game after holding a comfortable 17-0 lead at halftime.

Once again, decision-making, possession and also playing 80 minutes of rugby will be crucial for them this weekend.

A win for them against the Brumbies will get them closer to moving into the top 6, depending on the results from the Crusaders versus the Reds game.

The Brumbies, coming off with the greatest upset of the season, beating the Hurricanes 27-19 to end the table toppers’ winning streak, will be looking to back that performance up this weekend at home.

The Drua will take on the Brumbies at 9.35pm this Saturday.

In other round 11 matches this weekend, the Hurricanes will host the Waratahs at 7.05pm Friday, the Rebels will play the Blues at 9.35pm Friday, Moana Pasifika will take on the Highlanders at 2.05pm Saturday, the Crusaders will host the Reds at 4.35pm Saturday and the Chiefs will take on the Force at 7.05pm Saturday.
