Seruvakula says Flying Fijians bench was not good enough in Scotland loss

FIJI Water Flying Fijians Acting Coach, Senirusi Seruvakula says their bench was not good enough.

Seruvakula gave the reason to the media after their 35-17 defeat to Scotland this morning.

This is after they were leading 17-7 at half time.

Seruvakula acknowledged the Scotland bench, who were made up of seasoned internationals as well as Lions players who carried the momentum of the game till the end.

The Acting Flying Fijians coach says they had reviewed their previous game against England, and they had a good week preparing well.

He says this preparation showed in the first half.

Fiji has now lost all of their 3 Nations Championship home matches, going down 39-24 to Wales, 73-8 to England before their 35-17 defeat this morning to Scotland.

Fans are asking what is happening, as this is one of the best teams that Fiji has ever fielded on paper but it is not translating on to the field.

We have sent questions to FRU Chair John Sanday on what is the next step after our winless tour.

Coming up next for the Flying Fijians is the Pacific Nations Cup in September where we will be playing Canada, Japan and the USA.

The Northern Series of the Nations Championship kicks off on November 8th before the finals at the end of November.
