Holy Cross College from the North has claimed the Manoa Shield in the Under-14 grade at the Crest Chicken Secondary Schools Netball Championship.
The school’s Under-14 team was recognised for its strong performance throughout the three-day tournament, earning the shield after reaching the quarter-final stage.
The finals were scheduled to be played today, however, matches were cancelled due to the current weather conditions.
With the safety of players and officials prioritised, the Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Association made the decision to award teams based on their performance up to the quarter-finals.
For Holy Cross College, the achievement marks a proud moment for the school, with the team’s hard work, commitment and preparation rewarded on the national stage.
The Manoa Shield victory is also a significant milestone for the school, which travelled from the North to compete against some of the best secondary school netball teams in Fiji.
