FRU launches Farebrother and Pio Bosco trophies
The Fiji Rugby Union today launched the Farebrother Trophy and the Pio Bosco Tikoisuva Trophy ahead of the competitions commencing next week.

Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive Officer Koli Sewabu says this weekend will showcase the strong season of local rugby competition.

He says the Skipper Cup final this weekend will feature two prominent rugby unions in Fiji, Nadi and Nadroga, with both teams recording eight victories each during the season.

Sewabu says the competitive rugby environment in Fiji has significantly improved, and local players are ready for selection if they prove themselves in the local competition.

The CEO says the future of the Flying Fijians also looks promising, with a tough and competitive Under-20 final scheduled to take place this weekend between Nadi and Nadroga.

He says the women's Subrails Marama Cup final will see Namosi face Nasinu.

Sewabu says these competitions would not be possible without the support of sponsors, and he thanks all the sponsors for coming on board and helping Fiji Rugby grow from strength to strength.

Meanwhile, Ra will face Naitasiri in the first Farebrother Trophy challenge next week.

This Saturday, Nadi will face Nadroga in the Skipper Cup final at 3pm, while Namosi will defend their Subrails Marama Cup title against Nasinu at 1pm.

Nadroga will face Nadi in the Under-20 final at 11am.

All matches will be held at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
