Third-ranked France will take on 15th-ranked Senegal in a highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Group I clash in less than two hours, with both sides looking to make a winning start to their World Cup campaign.

France enters the match as one of the favourites to lift the World Cup trophy and are expected to rely on stars such as Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Senegal, meanwhile, could look to key players including Nicolas Jackson, Kalidou Koulibaly and Idrissa Gana Gueye as they aim to challenge one of the tournament favourites.

The Group I encounter is expected to play a key role in shaping the standings, with Iraq and Norway also competing in the group.

France will be looking to use their attacking firepower and tournament experience to secure all three points, while Senegal will rely on their pace, physicality and defensive organisation to frustrate the 2018 world champions.

Senegal will also be hoping to draw inspiration from their famous 1-0 victory over France at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, one of the biggest upsets in tournament history.

The France-Senegal match kicks off at 7am.

Meanwhile in other matches, Iraq will face Norway at 10am, Argentina will meet Algeria at 1pm while Austria will face Jordan at 4pm.
