Ba edge Navua 3-1 during penalties to win BiC Fiji FACT after 16-year wait
Ba claim the BiC Fiji FACT title after defeating Navua 3-1 in a dramatic penalty shootout at ending a 16-year wait for a major title.

Both Ba and Navua produced outstanding football throughout the first and second halves, creating several scoring opportunities.

However, neither side was able to break the deadlock during regulation time.

The intensity remained high until the final whistle, with both teams pushing for the winner, but the match finished goalless and was decided by penalties.

Ba held their nerve in the shootout to claim a 3-1 victory, with their goalkeeper emerging as the hero after producing outstanding saves.

Navua missed three crucial spot-kicks through Kolinio Sivoki, Filipe Baravilala and Peniame Drova, while Suliano Tawanakoro was among Ba's successful penalty takers as the Men in Black sealed a memorable triumph.

Ba Football Association President, Praneel Dayal says the victory was the fulfilment of a long-awaited dream after 16 years.

Dayal says the players had performed exceptionally well and showed tremendous determination throughout the tournament.

He also expresses gratitude to Ba supporters for standing behind the team and cheering them all the way to victory.

The win marks a historic moment for Ba Football, with the Men in Black finally ending their 16-year trophy drought in spectacular fashion.
