The recovery teams have managed to uplift the bodies of student pilot, Merelesita Lutu and Instructor Iliesa Tawalo from Delaikoro.
Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu says the recovery process took time with officers trying their best to preserve the victims’ bodies and take it safely to the top before they transported the two bodies to the Labasa Hospital for the post-mortem examination.
Tudravu says that officers will continue to guard the Pacific Flying School plane crash site until the arrival of the New Zealand investigator.
