Thirty-one applications were received by the Fiji Rakavi Football Union (FRFU) for the role of FIJI Water Flying Fijians head coach, including applications from experienced coaches from Tier 1 rugby nations and international coaches with experience in the Six Nations, Premiership Rugby, France’s Top 14 and other professional rugby competitions around the world.
The FRU says applications have now officially closed, and it has commenced the shortlisting process, which will be followed by interviews, consultation with key stakeholders and final approval by the FRU Board.
The FRU says it remains committed to ensuring a thorough and transparent selection process, with the aim of announcing the successful candidate ahead of the Nations Championship in November.
Looking ahead to Fiji’s November matches, the Flying Fijians will face France on the 8th, followed by Ireland on the 15th, before meeting Italy on the 22nd in their final match.
