A Strong Wind Warning is now in force for several parts of Fiji, including coastal areas of Sigatoka, Rakiraki, Udu Point, Lomaiviti Groups, Taveuni, Cikobia, Kadavu, Yasawa and nearby smaller islands.
The Nadi Weather Office says a high pressure system to the far south of Fiji continues to direct strong southeasterly winds over most parts of the country.
They say this will affect the country for the next few days.
People living in the affected areas are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions as strong winds may affect exposed communities and coastal areas.
