The Vodafone Fiji Bulikula's impressive performances at the Rugby League World Cup have caught the attention of defending champions Australia, with Jillaroos hooker Olivia Higgins warning her side to be ready for Fiji's fast starts in their historic semi-final tomorrow.
Higgins says the Jillaroos are not taking the Bulikula lightly, particularly after Fiji scored within the opening 10 minutes of their last two matches.
She says Australia have discussed Fiji's fast starts and know what to expect when the two sides meet.
The Bulikula have impressed in their debut World Cup campaign, pushing the Kiwi Ferns in their opening match before securing convincing victories over France and Papua New Guinea to reach the semi-finals.
Higgins says Fiji have had a strong campaign, and Australia understand that semi-final rugby league presents a different challenge.
Despite the Jillaroos scoring 242 points and conceding just one try in their three pool matches, Higgins says the team remains focused on improving its performance.
She says Australia are determined to maintain their high standards as they chase a fourth consecutive World Cup title.
The Bulikula take on the Jillaroos in their historic World Cup semi-final at 6.45pm tomorrow at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on Sunday.
